I have loved drawing all my life. As my early
years in East Africa were exciting and filled with adventurous
safaris, wildlife naturally became my inspiration. I painted
and exhibited my first “blue-eyed” lion
at the tender age of five.
After settling in Australia, I was
able to realise a childhood dream of riding and breeding horses.
My fascination with these enchanting creatures also inspires
me to portray their character and diversity.
I have expanded from graphite to oils in
recent years and choose a realistic approach,
adding my own
artistic expression to natures awesome beauty.
I exhibit my work nationally and internationally
and find sharing my interests with others, very rewarding.
I also support conservation through my work and
was honoured to be invited as a signature member of the worldwide
organisation, "Artists
For Conservation".
I was also honoured in receiving the “Grand Teton Lodge
Company Award” in 2005 in the prestigious “Arts
for the Parks” in Jackson, Wyoming.
Combining my two passions of art and nature
into a career has been the most interesting safari of all.
